Treis-Karden, Germany

The Schloss Hotel Petry - our home for the next 7 nights.   We had a reasonable journey - if having to go via Heathrow from Glasgow can ever be reasonable - then a two hour bus journey via the Rhine and Mosel Rivers, which was really beautiful.
I'm taking the shot from the entrance to the railway station, 2 minutes from the hotel, making it an excellent choice as we're on a Ramblers walking holiday and we'll return from our walks most days by train and won't have far to walk.  It is a family run hotel; very comfortable and great food.
