Louder than love

Up in Salford tonight to see Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell play a solo show. The Lyric Theatre at the Lowry Centre is quite possibly the purplest room imaginable. Anyway, Chris played material from every facet of his career for over two hours. Turns out he's quite a jovial chap with a good line in between song banter and even got an audience member up onstage to play guitar along with him. One aspect of the show I particularly liked was when he used a record deck to provide backing on a couple of numbers.
Support was from a Welshman called Paul Freeman who was rather spiffing too.
A great night out.
