Wanderings & Witterings

Our Wednesday walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers started and ended at Balloch, Loch Lomond and took in Balloch Country Park and Whinny Hill Woods with some beautiful views over the loch

The sun shone for the first part of the walk and it was also pleasantly warm with just enough of a cooling breeze to add to our enjoyment. There were a few, short muddy stretches, but nothing too serious - most of the underfoot conditions were fine.

And then, with about an hour left of our walk, the rain started, Just a shower at first, followed by a 15-20 minute dry spell, but then in earnest. Although we all put on our wet-weather gear, it was a rather wet group of Ramblers who returned to the car park at Loch Lomond Shores.

At least we had the good weather and excellent views of the morning to look back upon,
