Chan's view

No idea why this professional portrait was taken. The date is written in pencil on the back. I had opened it today (20 Aug 2015) to clean the glass and thought I could scan it. Also wanted to scan the photo next to it of daughter Kate and son J taken about 1988 but the scanner broke after doing mine!

On the bottom right-hand side one can see the photography studio that took it - Chan's Trinidad BWI (British West Indies). I can't find anything actual about Chan's. They seem to have been well known. There is a photograph of theirs taken in 1952 of the then Governor of Trinidad, Sir Hubert Rance, for sale costing 299.00 USD and on another site a now sold photo of the 1960 Trinidad carnival where Chan's are shown as the official carnival photographers. No price is shown as it was sold. Also seems they produced many of the postcards on sale around this time. Seems the University of the West Indies are collecting them so I will look through my collection.
