Seals Off Blakeney Point, North Norfolk

I took the grandchildren to North Norfolk today for a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point and to visit the Muckleburgh Military Collection.   It took us a couple of hours to travel to North Norfolk but we stopped for breakfast and then made our way for the 11.30 sailing.   The forecast was for cloud but we had sunshine for most of the day, which was a bonus.   There are hundreds of seals on sand banks at the mouth of the river and North Sea and they seemed oblivious to our presence there, a few come into the water to greet us!   The boats are dependent on the tides and today there were only sailings at 10.30, 11.30 and 12.30 each taking around an hour.
From there we went to the Muckleburgh Military Collection, a fabulous museum of military vehicles and all military paraphernalia.    My grandson was  captivated by it all and took a photograph of every vehicle there!   We even we for a ride in a World War II Personnel Carrier, which was fantastic if somewhat bumpy!!
We then went into Holt, a lovely country town where we had afternoon tea, and a quick look in their fabulous independent shops.   Then the two hour drive back home and a fish and chip supper.    We have all had a wonderful day, but now I'm shattered!
