My Life With Luna

Suffolk Punch

It's been a beautiful day today (29 degrees) and I went on an already planned walk with my friend Janice.   We walked about five miles through lovely countryside but we were lucky that it took us through several wooded areas so we escaped the full sunshine for some of it.
Our walk took us through the quaint but very pretty village of Ufford, just north of Woodbridge where we saw this beautiful Suffolk Punch mother and daughter  enjoying the lush grass.
The foundation sire of the modern day Suffolk Punch was recorded as belonging to a Thomas Crisp of Ufford in 1768, so I thought this picture of a mare and foal in the village of Ufford was a fitting tribute to the sire.
