Clovelly

We drove home today, calling in at Clovelly on the way. What a gorgeous little place this is, but how steep!! For the most part*, motor vehicles are not allowed in the village, other than the land rover that takes anyone who can't make the journey on foot to and from the harbour.

* with the notable exception of the two bright sparks who had thought it was a good idea to reverse-park their car on the steep shingle beach. It was very entertaining to watch the driver of the land rover attempting to haul their car off the beach again. It was, apparently, less entertaining at 2.30 am when the two lads concerned woke the entire village while trying to drive their car off for themselves!

It was a long journey home, so we ended the day at Pizza Hut.
