Late Summer

Few flowers grace our area at this time of year, but the Mockingbird Berry is abundantly present. Also the rain has plumped out and beautified its berries. August is heavily humid and hot, and rain relieves only momentarily. The best time to walk out on this place is late afternoon when the rabbits bask in the slightly cooler air and feed on the grass. The hefty rabbit in my extra was watching Music as he meandered rather too close for comfort, but he quickly realized that the elderly dog posed no threat. No need to scamper away from his delicious evening repast.

I am very short on energy and motivation these days. I apologize for being remiss about commenting. Hoping for a renewal come September...
