Vernissage

Another one! This was Christopher Elliot, a painter who has recently moved to a nearby village. He paints mostly trees -- I hadn't seen any of his work before and really liked it (see also the extra). A nice guy too, we had a good chat with him.

Afterwards we hurried back home in order to be in time to finally see Le Midi Viticole, the documentary that was partly filmed in our village last year. It's been travelling around, but we've somehow always managed to be somewhere else. This evening it was 50 metres from home, so it was hard to miss. Afterwards it would have been rude not to stay and drink wine, so home about midnight.

In other artistic news, one of my efforts was chosen for the weekly gallery on the Creative Coding course. I still don't entirely know what I'm doing, but it's surprising what you can do with enough guidance. Have a look at the Flickr group to see how many different interpretations can emerge from one initial algorithm.
