"If You Want To Get Ahead ....

.... get a hat."

This was coined by Dunn and Co. It's a play on words, an advertising slogan in the UK in the 1940s, when most men still wore hats - caps, trilbies or bowlers - by Dunn & Co, hatmakers. It implied that, in order to advance in life, you needed a hat to help you on your way.

I went to see Carl at Photosound in Bishop's Stortford. He had a lovely bouncy OP/TECH USA camera strap for me. The Canon one is rubbish. I parked in the Waitrose car park and purchased a few items before I left. I noticed a woman looking very stylish in a large red hat and a red dress. I called out to her as I drove past asking if I might snap her hat. Her male escort said something about her not being his and mentioned Ashley Madison. :)

It takes a certain chutzpah to go shopping on a Saturday afternoon wearing look-at-me headgear. This lady in red carried it off perfectly.
