Fishermen ALWAYS Exaggerate

Juvenile Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo)

This young cormorant was hanging out with a young shag. An ideal chance to compare and contrast identification characteristics.
What then was the most obvious distinction?  The shag was wearing a green Darvic leg band and the cormorant wasn't!

I'll be reporting the letter combination on the euring website.
