Heron Two Ways. Leitz Telyt-V 200mm

The subject matter may not change much, or the setting, but the poses and juxtapositions of the birds are ever-different.  We've had some heavy rains over the last few days and the water has swelled the river's flow over the weir.  Today I managed to catch both a Great Blue and a Black Hooded Night Heron each concentrating on their fishing activities - at a respectful distance from each other.  They were so close that, with the big lens I was forced to chop off some legs.  I quite like another frame of Big Blue seeming to arabesque his way from one place to another.  Once again, too close for the big lens, so he lost his tail feathers.  Here he is as an extra.
