Standardisation

I did the obligatory annual online standardisation this afternoon for CELTA trainers. That kept me busy for a couple of hours. You need to observe a 45 min lesson and grade it and mark and grade three assignments. These days it needs to be done individually, but I much preferred it when you could do it as a centre as you learned a lot more from discussing it with your colleagues. Ho hum. In addition to this, of course, there's an external assessor for every course, so it keeps us all on our toes and ensures quality and standardisation. Anyway, done for another year!
