The End of a Wonderful Week....or so

Today we drove Jen and Pete to the airport before dawn, to see them off to Venice followed by the Dolomites.  Becky heard from them a couple of hours later and they had arrived and found their lovely B&B, their home for the first two nights of their honeymoon.  I can just imagine the fun they are going to have discovering Venice which is like no other place on earth.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Becky today as she took the train to York to meet up with Rob before they begin their journey back to the States.  They both have an interesting year ahead which may result in them returning home, and how wonderful would that be!  We went in to Leeds on the train and delivered the hired part of Pete's fantastic wedding suit (the coat and waistcoat are his forever!) to the seamstress who had made his coat at Leeds Playhouse Wardrobe dept.  We didn't realise she was the person who greeted us until we handed over the boots and jerkin, so it was just brilliant to share the wedding day stories with her, to show her the photo of the two of them, and to thank her - yet another wedding memory to store away!

Afterwards we lunched at the arts cafe, I had a yummy smoked mackerel nicoise salad, then we saw Becky on to the train.......
