BT "service"

A frustrating evening on the phone to BT.

W and his partners have just given up their shared offices and each of them are now working from home.  W had the BT account for the office, and has transferred it to our home account.  At the same time, he opted to move to fibreoptic Broadband.  The move was complicated by the fact that our home BT account was in my name.  There have been uncountable problems.  

We have a large number of letters and emails between us, many of which are incomprehensible.  The picture shows just a small selection.  

We've had a visit from a BT contractor today, to connect us to the fibreoptic service.  But according to Nathan at the domestic services, we are still connected to the ordinary broadband service - thus we seem to have 2 internet services to the same phone line.  But I can't connect on my computer, or on my laptop, and am having to upload this photo via W's laptop!

I find coping with faceless authorities like this incredibly stressful, and have ended up totally exhausted physically and emotionally.  And we are still not sorted out - we have to ring the "business" part of BT again on Wednesday - not tomorrow as "something is due to happen tomorrow" according to Nathan, but he does not know what - it may be that the "domestic" broadband is due to be cut off. 

There is no "joined up" service between the domestic and the business services.  No-one that we can talk to can access both accounts, so we are constantly being shuttled between the two!
