spider (on the verbena!)

this evening it was dark and drizzly and I had little inclination to go out in the rain. I thought I might finish my 'Verbena' series with a 'drip on verbena' 
but instead found this spider hanging from one of the flowers.  The spider must have thought it had caught something and went charging across the web only to discover a caught petal. What a disappointment for it!
