" ON A CLEAR DAY "

And it certainly didn't start that way.  We woke to heavy rain this morning, so much so that I didn't want to get up.  I don't like wet rainy days and it was hard to get motivated.  But Mr A needed a hair cut so it was the ideal time, before cleaning the floor.  He hadn't seen a hairdresser since leaving work in May so as you can imagine it was getting a bit long and I had threatened to get a hair tie out!

Working on a small glass project, so fiddled with that for most of the afternoon.  But we have noticed that the weather always changes late afternoon and sure enough the sun eventually appeared and we went for our usual walk with Phoebe.  The wind was very strong and cool on the beach so didn't paddle but walked around the bay, up Beach Road and called in at the pub where Phoebe is very popular!

Autumn is very much on it's way and already before we have had a proper summer, thoughts are turning to next years holiday.  We hope that the locals here are right, saying once school holidays are over, warmer days will return.
