The Iron Duke

The Duke of Wellington is the oldest Pub in Twyford, though not the oldest building. The pub dates from around 1650, and is a very typical old pub with a low ceiling and exposed beams.

A very narrow pavement, so after a few beers some caution should be exercised when leaving the establishment.

Apart from the early morning, when I went to Waitrose, it has rained all day. The coffee machine at Waitress appears to have been repaired. As does the leak in the apartment. The basin is not only empty but is also dry. So the basin has ceased its function as the collector of the drips from upstairs.
