Fowl

I went out to Deerness hoping for some migrant birds and was pretty lucky. Not the birds shown obviously. I found two red-backed shrikes, a pied flycatcher, six whinchats, five wheatears. Nothing close enough for decent photos unfortunately. I walked from Lighthouses Corner to the nearby quarry garden, then along the road to Sandside Bay, back along the road and down to Barns of Ayre then along to the Point of Ayre. I made coffee in a little sea-cave, which kept me dry but then got pretty wet walking along the shore of Newark Bay. Some welcome shelter at Geo, then the road to Dingieshowe and the bus.
