Scapa pier

An appointment in Kirkwall meant no big walk but I managed a short walk along Wideford Burn and into town, then a cycle after the appointment down to Scapa pier.
Another beautiful day. I stopped to talk to David, a bird-watcher, and then on to the pier. There must have been plenty of fish in the bay as gulls, terns and red-breasted mergansers were feeding frantically. Fishing nets were being unloaded so I snapped the work. That's my bike at the side.
