Toward Barth Head

I walked along the east coast of South Ronaldsay a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd go up the west coast today. It was a beautiful, sunny day and I got the bus to St Margaret's Hope, the driver stopping to deliver a box of bananas to the shop there. I then got local taxi to drop me at Burwick, then headed up the cliff path and north. Not many different species of birds there now the auks are gone. The highlight was when I was idly watching a raven on a crag when a young peregrine buzzed it, taking the raven by total surprise. More here.
