IMPACT Pakistan #Mamta Clinics

Since 2008, midwives at IMPACT Pakistan’s 16 remote Mamta (mother and baby) Clinics have accompanied 26,000 women safely through their pregnancies. They also provide post natal care.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir are stunning locations, ‘High peak mountains, beautiful valleys, lush green plains, thick forests and winding streams’, describes a Programme Officer. 

But living in such a remote place is problematic in the event of ill health. So the Clinics also serve as a base for our GPs, providing general health services to the local communities.
