This rather grainy photo is of a social event at the Rowett Research Institute in Aberdeen. It is at least 30 years old. I can't remember the exact year it was taken but suffice to say it's the only time in my life I ever played a game of football, and in fancy dress to boot! I am on the left of the picture with my hands clasped, a cushion stuffed up my front and bunches in my hair! The tall man on the right handing out the prizes was my Ph.D supervisor and Director of the Institute, Sir Kenneth Blaxter. Happy memories!
