Chamonix

Great atmosphere today in the town as crowds of people waited to cheer on the runners from yesterday, finishing what must be a pretty gruelling run. It's been about 30 degrees today. I could run round the house in that heat, never mind 170km with mountains!!!
The winner ran in at 3pm. That's 21 hours. He barely looked like he was breaking a sweat! He was French and miles ahead of everyone else. Huge cheers for him as he mad his way through town to the finish line.
The deadline is sometime on Monday. So there will be people finishing throughout tomorrow too. Hats off to them!!

This band were playing away earlier. Can't beat a bit of music on the street.
