Pictorial blethers

Big sky, small boat ...

Followers of this blippery (ooh - I like that word!) will feel a growing familiarity with this view because I photograph it so often. I hope they will feel that the variety of lighting, the different aspects taken on by the vast sky over Bute and Arran, make for sufficient difference to be interesting.

It was this difference in sameness that we were discussing on our walk this afternoon. Fed up with the continuing disappointing weather - there was sun today, but when we went out it had vanished - we were at first disgruntled and grumpy, wishing we were somewhere else. But the beauty of our surroundings and the peaceful sea as the wind dropped transformed our mood and by the time we were walking back we felt, for the umpteenth time, that we were lucky to have such places to walk as often as we wanted.
