243/365: A bird blip with a difference

A LEGO Ideas model (models designed by the public rather than by LEGO themselves) by brick builder Thomas Poulsom. 

I was over the moon when I saw that this Ideas model was going to be made into an official set (a European robin,along with a hummingbird and a blue jay). I went out and bought it the day it hit the LEGO store. 

I took them all to bits a few weeks ago but really missed this one so rebuilt him this afternoon. 

"He [Thomas Poulsom] encourages us to take a new look at something we know well, and while doing so proves - yet again - that almost anything can be built from LEGO bricks."
