Another long day of travel and learning more about Romania.  The first stop was to visit an underground glacier - 45m down long rickety metal steps, a talk, then back up the same steps. 

Then we visited two more churches - one another wooden church, and the other a new church built right next to it.  The wooden church, built around the same time as yesterday's, and painted by the same artist, has been extensively damaged by water.  A new roof has been installed and the building is being repaired, but about two-thirds of the interior decoration is gone. 

The newer church, built after 1989, is far larger than the old and also extensively painted. But some of the painting, completed in 2001, is already showing signs of water damage.
