Foraging in the rain

Went on a foraging day today, in the pouring rain! We were supposed to be picnicking too but went to the workshop runner's house instead.

Getting to the beach was interesting - down a very overgrown path and then virtually abseiling down a very muddy bank! There was actually a much easier way of getting there, as we found out later!!

We found wild rocket, sea aster, sea purslane, wild goji berries, sea buckthorn, rosehips and hawthorn. We had lunch that included the purslane and buckthorn, anyway really good (especially the chocolate and lavender mousse!).

This was a reunion of a foraging excursion we did last year, with a couple of extras. The lady on the left in the photo was on last year's trip, but the lady on the right was a new friend!
