Thirlmere from Raven Crag

We did two more Wainwrights today - Raven Crag and Armboth Fell bringing our total to 83.

The view from Raven Crag was stunning and well worth the haul to get up there.  The route to Armboth started off OK as a forest track but deteriorated into a scramble across un-pisted heather and bog.  It was hard work but today I avoided falling in the bog.  

I am surprised how hard it is to find the path up some of the lesser Wainwright fells.

Weather today was forecast to deteriorate after lunch but apart from a few spots of rain which only lasted a few minutes it stayed generally fine most of the day.
