The Edge of the Wold

Gold

There were big thunderstorms today, heavy showers and brilliant sunlight, with a large tide in the estuary that left the mudflats wet and sticky.  The day ended with a clearer sky, and the sun breaking through golden over the water that was still slowly draining into Morecambe Bay.  This gave way to clouds blushing pink after the sun set.

The sun was gone tonight at 1945 hrs, I still have a backblip to load from the beginning of July that was taken in reasonable light well after 2200 hrs.  The nights are drawing in rapidly now in the Northern Hemisphere.
