Sleeping on a Train

This photo was taken from my bed on the train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. I really enjoyed the sleeper trains, the people were nice, the bunks were comfortable enough. At some point a guard comes round and makes the beds.

There's something really nice about pulling the curtain across your bunk, putting some headphones in, reading a book then waking up in the morning to see jungle flying past your window as you approach a new place.

Travel Diary:

Today we got ready to take the long train to Chiang Mai. We gathered our stuff together and tidied my uncle's apartment before heading out to a restaurent. Finding a good restaurent is surprisingly hard but we found a nice one. We were the only people in the place though. In the evening we went back to the apartment, grabbed out stuff and took the sky train and the underground to Hua Lamphong station.

When we boarded the train we found another English couple, called Henry and Laura. We spoke to them for the whole train ride (whilst we weren't sleeping).
