Buddhas, Glamping & a Whiskey Bar

And so, the back-blipping begins....Road Warriors Hit the Dusty Smoky Trail:
We headed north on Hiway 93 to the now completed and blessed Garden of 1,000 Buddhas. What a surprise as a Peace Festival was just beginning. The parade of twirling umbrellas, basso profundo gongs, bells and wail of conch shells filled the air. I'm certain T found this to be a great surprise on a rural Montana Indian reservation....but why not!
A brief stop in Bigfork and we headed into the woods to our first night's lodging...Glacier Under Canvas, a glamping experience. 2 of us were in the safari tent and T took up residence in the tipi. A before dinner treat was a small-batch whiskey-tasting at the Glacier Distillery down the road followed by a delicious dinner at the Tupelo Grill in Whitefish, a 4-star eatery. We returned to our tents and had a sit around the table and wood-burning stove (which was not to be used because of the current fire danger) in the big tent before we 3 Road Warriors drifted off to sleep in the wild woods of Montana's road to Glacier.
