What a Wonderful View....

....looking across 9 miles of the South Pennine uplands to a conglomeration of 11 wind turbines at Crook Hill, near Rochdale.
These monstrosities are a massive 125m (410 ft) high.  Blackpool Tower is 158m (518 ft) and poor old Stoodley Pike is just 37m (121 ft).
They appeared during July and have a life expectancy of 25 years (which could be extended).
(They look even worse when viewed 'large')
If I turn a few degrees to the right I will be rewarded with the view of a further 5 of similar height, and a few more degrees will bring another 8 into view at Coal Clough nr. Burnley.
The more perceptive blipper will deduce that I am no fan of these structures ..... :-(
