This little village hall......

...... is on one of my regular dog walks.  It is going to close next year, along with the little play park across the road, because the Council cannot afford to renew the lease. 

It set me thinking about a rich country that not only seems reluctant to help others in need, but also seems too mean spirited to help itself in any way apart from private wealth.  Public services and assets built up by generations are being lost .............

Perhaps we could offer the village hall to people fleeing war and worse.

Oops!  That is my self imposed ban on politics on social media broken by a flower decked village hall!  Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
