Our flight from Seattle to Palm Springs was broken up by a stop in San Francisco for a brief layover. We had the best view in the house from the restaurant at the end of the international terminal where we landed and departed and it was hard not to post a photo of one of the huge A380s that pulled in directly in front of our seats, but when we took off, it was like the pilot was giving the A-C side of the plane a guided tour from the air. We did a slow, counter-clockwise, climbing turn after taking off from the runway closest to the bottom of this photo for this great view of the terminal and its four adjoining runways. If you look really close you can spot a departing plane (and its shadow) in the upper left.
