From Gowbarrow Fell

Took Mike shopping in Keswick this morning to get him a decentpair of walking boots (the walk up Helm crag in his snow boots proved they were unsuitable. Had a late afternoon walk with Mike up Gowbarrow fell to see how they fared - pretty well, he thought it was a shorter and lower walk (wrong on both counts) so he must have had more comfortable feet!
