Independence Day

Today marks 70 years since Vietnam got independence from France after World War II. It's mainly celebrated in the north but it's still a public holiday down here and people either return to their home town to be with family or at most go to see the fireworks in the city.

My evening was spent hosting the next Couchsurfing social meet up. This time there were over 20 people which isn't bad considering some couldn't make it due to the holiday. The people were all lovely as usual.
