horns of wilmington's cow

Afternoon spent on the Elie Chain Walk, something I've wanted to visit for years. It's actually quite a short walk, but with about 8 sections of chain to help haul yourself up, or shimmy down, various bits of steep coastal cliff. No one really seems to know why and when the chains first appeared, but for now the council inspects and replaces and keeps it all tip top.

The morning was spent mushroom hunting, after seeing a friend's pictures of ceps / porcini / penny buns from East Lothian, so we were back to our regular haunt. Empty handed though, with only some moth eaten examples. Will keep trying. Though did manage to catch a froglet who will appear in the extra photos if I can get the ipad upload to work.

Edit, nope just refuses to work.
