Atelier

Now that the schools are back and the Festivals are over, the weather is rewarding us with sunshine and a certain degree of warmth.
His Lordship and I felt emboldened to walk into town this morning through the still present shoals of tourists, and visit two art galleries, one of which was being manned for the day by daughter #1.

We managed to resist buying a wonderful painting of poppies by the Edinburgh artist Robin Philipson for £75,000 and instead picked up an unframed water colour of trees for £10

Today's blip is my daughter's workplace in the gallery she was manning, where behind the scenes, she restores heavy elaborate gilt frames to their original opulence.
