A day in the Countryside

C. and I caught the train to Glynde today - roughly an hour out of London and did a lovely walk to the next closest town Lewes. The walk took us through beautiful rolling green hills and paddocks full of fat, happy sheep. Along the way we stopped to pick blackberries from an overloaded wild growing bush. In Lewes we had a lovely lunch followed by a traditional English cream tea and then wandered around the streets and numerous antique shops.

Tonight we had apple and blackberry crumble for dessert with our handpicked wild blackberries and homegrown apples from C's mum. Delicious!
