Burston Strike School Rally 2015

Between 3,000 and 4,000 people attended this year's rally at which Labour Party leader candidate Jeremy Corbyn spoke.  As ever, he was compelling and engaging and spent a considerable amount of time going round the various stalls (Trade Unions, campaigns) talking to people.  And he's no fool - he knows that if he does win then there will be another battle, to get his colleagues in the party on-side.

Several people carried messages of support and welcome for refugees and here we see Paddy, who I got to know through a former colleague several years ago.  I only see her occasionally these days, usually at some political event, but it's always a joy when I do.

She and her friend also carried 'lezzers for jezzer' placards, thanking him for the support he has given to the LGBT community and you can see one of these as an 'extra'.  Together with a message for David Cameron ....
