Memory Monday V

This is a shot of a Vickers Supermarine Spitfire at RAF Coningsby (the home of the BBMF) taken in Sept 2008. It was being put through its regular MOT checks to ensure that it is totally airworthy.We had a fab week in Lincolnshire visiting many RAF airfields & seeing several Lancaster bombers.

A fine day today - but feeling totally wiped out. Due at the NOC again this pm for more Hydrotherapy...not really sure if it is a good idea today - but what is the worst that can happen ??

Today in 1901 the Boxer Rebellion officially comes to an end in China with the signing of the Boxer Protocol. also today in 1940 the German Luftwaffe begin the Blitz, bombing London & other major cities in the UK for over 50 consecutive nights..

Incidentally for those that don't know BBMF stands for Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
