A Peep Thru the Pinhole

Old versus new

The horizontal image shows the current state of build of the new medical centre in Bewdley, due early 2016. The vertical image is of PART of our current medical centre. The land on which new build is being erected is pretty central to the town, following much 'discussion' about just where it should be located. But, that land is part of our town's main car park, so that has created 'difficulties' in its own right, particularly as Bewdley attracts a lot of day visitors. In fact on a beautiful summer weekend the town is heaving, and the local traders become very happy!

The remainder of the car park is still a 'goer', and has been extended onto an adjacent grassed area for the time being, but the total number of parking sites remains reduced. However, on completion of the build, and the subsequent move-in, the old med centre (which is adjacent to the fire station, by the way - as evidenced by the tower structure in this image) will be demolished and the land currently occupied by it become extra parking spaces.
The whole thing will be a boon when it's completed. A previous plan for the new med centre build had it placed on the outskirts of town, a proposal which caused an uproar around these parts. Well, I guess 'all's well that ends well'.

Please accept my apologies for lack of comments lately. I have managed a few today, but I'm well in arrears and have only just uploaded some of my blips from this last week.
