The Final Run

I am taking advantage of a quiet evening as our granddaughter has settled down nicely - so I have backblipped for yesterday.

Today the field of wheat behind our house was harvested and we could hear the combine trundling up and down most of the day. I managed to get out briefly to take a photograph - only to find the machine heading off into the distance - just collecting the last row of wheat.

I quite liked the shot in the end - the long lens has emphasised the rolling field and the backlight has helped to emphasise the harvest dust (our cars are covered in a fine coat of the dust).

I have added another extra today which shows the combine unhitching the cutting blades onto a trailer ready for moving on to the next field.
