Mono Monday - Contrast (Then and Now)

I thought a 'Then and Now' shot would fit the theme of contrast for this week's Mono Monday. The shot on the left of the Shell Mex building was taken by my grandfather during the years he lived in London (1929-34. According to Wikipedia it must have been taken after 1931.) and my shot is the contrast to today.

Other 'then and now' shots are here (mostly mine but a couple of other blippers have used the tag).

The light over the Thames was lovely this evening. I put up an extra shot of the view looking in the other direction.
