What a fantastic day! Warm sunny days are so rare now and I see Naples is 32C where we were on holiday a few weeks ago when it was cooler than Britain!

T, N and O sorted out the Hereford herd by separating the cows in calf from those with calves. Eduardo the bull will be joining the latter shortly. We are trying to get the calving pattern up together so the cows calve all at the same time rather than throughout the year.

N then went topping - mowing off the debris the cattle havn't eaten like thistles and docks and rough grass to neaten up the fields and making ready for new growth.

Here's a blip of some hardy geraniums in the sun, a favourite plant as there are so many different species and colours.
