Just off duty!

I arrived in York far too late for the parade, but just in time to see the Gurka soldiers boarding their coaches for their return to barracks.

Gurkhas marched through York city centre today in an historic ceremony to receive the Freedom of the City.
The parade marked the 200th anniversary of the Gurkha regiment serving in the British army, and around forty members of the Queen’s Gurkha Signals were among the one hundred and sixty strong group of soldiers to march past crowds in the city centre streets.
