The UK Cycling Revolution

The past decade has seen a remarkable advance in the popularity of cycling in the U.K.
It seems that some of this relates to our excellent performance in winning medals on both track and road. We have all heard of Sir Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton. But there are many others and who does not know of Sir Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome. Even Knottman and Mrs.K. Watch the Tour de France and try to pretend it is because they like to see the French countryside.

But did you know that over 2 million adults in the U.K. ride a bike at least once a week or that cycling is now the third most popular participation sport in England.

Clearly Norman Tebbit's famous quote "get on yer bike" has had some effect.
