Female Cardinal .....

It was another scorcher today and not even the birds wanted to come out for food.  It seems I had my camera set out for ages before this beautiful female cardinal came to feed.

This is a new feeder that we found at a yard sale this past weekend.  It is a thistle feeder but I had put some safflower seeds in the bottom to see who would come take them.  

I would just like to say "Thanks" to you all for continuing to honor me with stars, hearts and comments even in my total lack for reciprocating! Summer is my favorite season (even with the heat) and I spend as much time as possible outside that my computer often sits very idle.  I can't say I will be any better once summer is over, but .....
