Twins!

A day of sorting and tidying our rooms after getting back and essentially dumping everything in any drawer or cupboard that was to hand.  So now, I should, in theory, know where everything is....  There was a moment when I had no idea where the camera cable was, I for the life of me can't find the pictures I had printed out in the UK. But aside from that, so far so good.

Evening walk around the 'circular' route, a great time for discussing cattle plans, homesickness and anything else that springs to mind.  We came back to find the twins tucked up in bed for the night in the calf pen.  This is for poorly calfs who are being looked after, this essentially means 'given free reign of the garden' - these two are lucky, Mum is just outside the gate and is brought in from time to time for milk, by all accounts she's a little bonkers and only redeemed herself by producing twins.  A good way for a cow to escape being sold is to produce off-spring, so she was clearly making sure she was staying at Dornoch.  Unfortunately, twins are hard work and they just need a little more TLC to properly develop.

Family Dudman are still shattered, with one member (not me), setting showing true leadership when trying to get the boy to go to sleep before dinner, by falling asleep on the job.
